The one and only... Chanel

The most luxurious fashion house in the world, Chanel, recently presented their Pre Fall 2012 Collection titled "Paris-Bombay." The collection which was held at the Grand Palais in Paris was viewed at an elaborate banquet setting where the attendees were served a lavish feast of champagne, tea and mini cakes. The Paris-Bombay themed aesthetic was a perfect fusion of Paris and Bombay while still keeping to Chanel's traditional qualities and sophisticated dressing.
The collection which is inspired by the elements of India consists of sparkling jewels, vibrant hues and fabrics and well constructed tailoring. The impeccably executed designs and beautiful fabrics were typical Chanel styling with skirt suits, trousers and perfectly formed drapery and dresses. The Indian influence is evident with the traditional dress of India consisting of beaded tunics over chaste leggings, loose suits and flowing fabrics.
The Chanel aesthetic is maintained throughout the collection with a continuous attention to detail in silks and embroidery. The mediocre colour palette was grey, cream, black and gold which was set off against neon pink and tweed. The Paris Bombay collection was accessorised with metallic headgear and jewel encrusted flat sandals. Overall, the collection is a perfect reflection of the two cities fused together to create stylish and chic ensembles that would look perfect in an Indian goddesses wardrobe. Mr Lagerfeld proves once again why Chanel is the most luxurious, stylish and sophisticated fashion house that will forever stand the test of time.

Beautiful and Stylish... Miranda Kerr is the whole package.

It appears Australian beauty Miranda Kerr has it all: she is married to one of Hollywood's greatest actors, Orlando Bloom, has one of the cutest babies on Earth, Flynn, is the face of David Jones, owns organic beauty line Kora and is a Victoria Secret's 'angel.' And in her role as an 'angel' she recently had the honour of modelling the eagerly anticipated 2.5 million dollar "Treasure Bra." What more could one wish to do in a lifetime?
Starting out in the modelling age at the ripe age of thirteen when she won the Dolly model competition it is proven that this supermodel has stood the test of time. Now 28 years old, Kerr is desired around the world for her flawless body, legs that go on for miles and those crystal baby blue eyes. Often overshadowed by her beauty, her underlying fashion sense must also be noticed and admired.
Kerr is the epitome of Australian style, defining minimal, yet chic dressing with her unique approach to your favourite basics. With a staple outfit consisting of a blazer, t-shirt, jeans and classic pumps it is evident Kerr favours simple, yet well put together outfits. A classic white shirt and jeans, basic tee's with leather, dashes of leopard print and timeless brenton stripes, Kerr always looks effortless, sexy and stylish. When it comes to accessories she is often seen with a handbag draped over one arm and baby Flynn on the other and no look is complete without her classic Ray-Ban Wayfarers. Managing to juggle a career and family in the spotlight is never easy, but it seems our Miranda Kerr has it perfected and because of this she is to be admired and congratulated. She really is a beauty and a vision not only on the outside but the inside too.
It is obvious we love a good dose of Miranda, check out our other articles of her HERE and HERE.

Rag & Bone: DIY Beautiful.

I've always been a firm believer that minimal is more beautiful, like the old saying, less is more. This is the concept that New York label Rag and Bone have captured for their latest campaign titled D.I.Y Project. With no stylist, no hair and make up and no lightening, it's 'just a girl, her camera and her favourite Rag and Bone.'
Rag and Bone supplied each girl with a bag of their clothes, a digital camera and four little words 'do as you please.' The results... minimal perfection. These images indulge into the intimate, unique personalities of each beauty showing their true natural beauty minus the staged production. The brand wanted to represent a 'cool,' downtown New York girl and show how each model puts clothes together in her own personal way. Possessing your own sense of style is what the whole campaign aims to capture.
Models including Sasha Pivovarova, Abby Lee Kershaw, Lily Aldridge, Miranda Kerr and Karolina Kurkova got to explore their inner photography skills creating raw, unprocessed images. Most models chose to take their images at the beach encapsulating the natural environment, which the whole concept is about. These intimate photos reflect fun, distinctive personalities across different points of the world and capture each moment in time. The thing I love most about this campaign is it proves that you don't need all the make up, styling, hair and photographers to look amazing, we are all beautiful in our own unique ways. Ultimately, beauty comes from the inside, the confident glow that you radiate when you're comfortable in your own skin and this is exactly what is expressed in each of these photos.
