Core strength by Miranda Kerr...

Our home grown aussie girl Miranda has been a very busy little bee. Not only is she the first Australian to appear in a Victoria's Secrets runway show and grace the runways for designers such as Balenciaga, Roberto Cavalli and Issey Miyake she is also on her way to building an empire with a purpose to empower women and make our world a better place.

Based in New york and having established herself as one of the top 10 models in the world she now is putting her name and her face and of course her beautiful intelligence to the test by launching her own skincare line, Kora.

She chose the name to represent the strength of the core self and based the line on key ingredient, the juice of the Tahitian noni plant. "I believe we need to fill our bodies with the right nutrients to perform at the optimum and I'm so passionate about that, says Miranda. That's why Kora is all about looking after yourself, your core self; it's about a healthy, organic way of life."

Kora is about core strength and our core self! It is this part of us that needs to be strong and ready to take on any challenge that the world throws at us. Balancing our lifestyle with yoga, meditation and regular exercise will develop that core and ground us.

Miranda is living example of practice what you preach and it reminds me that so often we get caught up in doing one thing and Miranda shows us that we as women can juggle many balls at once, model and business woman....thank you Miss Kerr.

LOOKS TO TRY for the "Private Access" Woman.....by Kirrily Johnston

The journey from a Bettina Liano girl to a Sass and Bide woman....

This weekend I celebrated another milestone in my life and what I believe is a time where we as women turn that corner and never look back again! Turning 35 has given me a new outlook on life and a time for revamping my wardrobe, my look and my attitude for a brighter future.

There's nothing quite like a weekend out with your girlfriends to remind you that there is no going back to what was before...the bars, the youth and the short skirts! We all go through stages in life where we are called to re-invent ourselves in every way that we know. To shed the layers of what was and to step into a new realm of possibility and opportunity that calls us forward. This process is not often an easy one but one which asks us to strip away all that we have known and who we know ourselves to be and stand in the uncomfortable void until we are called by our intuition to know what is the right action.

This weekend I was faced with asking the hard questions and looking into the mirror seeing the woman I once was but not quite the woman I yet long to be. How do we make this transition from one stage of life to the next..... How do we let go of the short skirts and embrace layering, how do we say goodbye to the party girl and embrace the wise woman. Shopping of course!!!

The most exciting part of the change is falling in love with new brands. Discovering new looks that we never thought we would dear to try. As we evolve and move through the different life stages we go from being a Bettina Liano girl to a Sass and Bide woman and our love and loyalty to these brands is cemented. My loyalty to brands continues but as I grow it changes to embrace the new brands that fit into the woman I am becoming and I say goodbye to the brands which defined me up until now.

I have always found it a necessity to change my look on the outside as I myself have changed within. To be comfortable in our skin is what gives us as women confidence to go out into the world, be leaders and make a difference. Some say that fashion is superficial....what I know to be true is that there are things money cannot buy but moving onto a new stage of life and hanging on to the old just doesn't work!

These are some of my favourite brands who support me as I evolve into being what I call the "Private Access" Woman.

Brand happy....Burberry happy!!

I wonder what inspired my love for brands but thinking back I would say it was my mothers influence to some degree. Russian women tend to have a love for the world of luxury its in our blood or maybe it was growing up on caviar, that's also in our blood. What strengthened my love and loyalty to the branded life is the contradiction with which I lived about whether its superficial and unspiritual, the spiritual journey I embarked upon by selling everything I had and then the path back to knowing that I simply cannot live without my brands!

At one time or another we all wonder what life is all about. We may have all the "things" that we thought we wanted and still feel unsatisfied deep down inside. It is this which makes us question whether our material possessions make us happy or whether it is something much greater than that! What I have found is that spirit comes first and the stuff comes later. It is when we have a deeper connection with the universe that we begin to view the things in our life very differently.

I have lived both with and without and I can truly say that with is definately much better. Was I more spiritual without, not really but what I do recall is that I became more creative in my thinking and in finding solutions to my problems and I lived in constant gratitude for the little things! We have all heard that money doesn't buy you happiness well you cannot be very happy if you are maxed out on your credit limit and poor!

My experience has shown me that the things we buy DO make a difference in our lives. Where we live, what brands we choose, the cars we drive and the shoes we wear all come to define us in a way that is much needed by all of us to experience the true richness and beauty of life. How can it be more spiritual to be living in poverty, to be struggling day by day and to be in a world which you can not experience.

Brands empower us in ways we cannot understand but to live without them is simply no longer an option. This is not a message to go out and spend your entire salary on a bag but simply a message that Gucci, Versace or even Zara have a place in our lives and that without them life is pretty uninspiring and i'm lighting my $100 Jo Malone candle to that one!!!

Here are some of my favourites...

Who said you couldn't fly...

They say that whatever the mind of man can conceive, man can achieve.... The first 15 days of January are very powerful, this is the time to put down on paper what you wish to achieve and set the stage for what 2010 will look like for you. Without a dream our days seem mundane, we wonder what is the purpose of it all....having a dream is what drives us forward, what makes the work all worthwhile and the growing pains bearable.

I started a dream many years back but what i didn't realise until recently was that to make dreams come true requires some action on my part. Some of us believe that there is no free will and that the universe or God is in charge. Others believe that its all up to us and that there is no one out there making it happen for us.
What I have found is that there is some truth in both those theories. There are times when I have taken action but things still didn't work out the way I had hoped, they turned out nonetheless. Other times I haven't taken much action at all, I surrendered instead, waited and a new path presented itself and following that path was better than I could have ever imagined.

I encourage you for the next 10 days to spend time meditating on what truly matters to you. Start a dream book, get some butchers paper, map it out. Start to dream and visualise your best life and ask yourself what needs to be done to start moving towards it. Are you living in a place that is not conducive to success, are the people in your life bringing you down instead of lifting you up, is your current work fulfilling and what are you learning from it to get you to the next phase.

And remember that the fear of failure really doesn't exist because if you look at your life right now and if you're not living the way you want to be then you have already failed! So now we have that out of the way, there are no reasons not to go out there and try.

Here is some inspiration to get you started.....CLICK HERE

Are we there yet??

Sometimes we all go through hard times and wonder whether the good times will ever come again....For those of you finding it challenging to dream a better life because your circumstances right now are not what you want them to be remember to keep climbing, never give up and as they say "this too shall pass...
